Stefanie Mitchell is a Marketing Specialist, hailing from metro Detroit. She is the CEO of S. Mitchell Marketing, an agency specializing in digital marketing, which serves a diverse client base in tech, human resources, retail, and creative industries. Before fulfilling her dream of becoming an entrepreneur, Stefanie crafted strategic and successful marketing campaigns in marketing and sales positions with esteemed companies such as the Ann Arbor/ Ypsilanti Regional Chamber, GDI Infotech, and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History.
In 2007, Stefanie developed a love for social media and blogging after being introduced to social media through her peers. Due to her introverted nature, she enjoyed interacting with friends online, quickly becoming well-versed in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content on a consistent basis. She soon realized that brands could benefit from having a strong online presence and began studying marketing, visual design, coding, and branding.
"I used to be very shy and social media and blogging were definitely ways that I could express myself and let people know who I was without actually having to meet people in person," she says with a laugh. "I met an entrepreneur who knew that I was studying marketing and he noticed that I knew a lot about social media and managing web pages. He asked if I would help put his business online and the rest is history!"
Stefanie launched S. Mitchell Marketing in 2013. Her team specializes in marketing strategy, social media management, e-mail marketing, and blogging. She helps small to mid-sized companies gain exposure and connect with current and prospective clients and customers by leveraging various media platforms.
"My favorite part about what I do is helping brands be the best that they can be and helping entrepreneurs and professionals live out their dreams. If your business isn't online it's like keeping a secret- you know that you have a phenomenal brand but nobody else does. You're essentially hiding from your customers. There are some really talented people and great businesses that need to be introduced to the world and it's a passion of mine to help them get in touch with who they are and then showcase just how great they are. Every brand has a culture that connects to a group of people but not every brand knows how to reach those people. That's where my agency comes in."
